Head of Advisory Strategy
About Kaleidoscope
Kaleidoscope is the commercial resilience system for companies — not another ESG rating platform, not a consultancy. We help companies understand not just how sustainable they are, but what that's worth commercially, closing the gap that incumbents leave open. We've closed our pre-seed fundraise and are scaling fast: our product division is growing under Kalibo, our AI intelligence layer, and advisory is the proven engine that's validated the model from day one.
The role
This is a foundational hire: you'll head our advisory division as it enters its next phase, shaping strategy and delivery as the team and client base grow. With product now scaling alongside advisory, this role is central to how the two arms work together — advisory as the R&D and validation engine, product as the scalable layer built on what we learn. You'll shape the strategic backbone of the company, not execute someone else's playbook.
What you'll do
- Head the advisory division — own its strategic direction, team, and delivery as we scale
- Steer the Impact Prism (Kaleidoscope IP) methodology and delivery, and how both evolve as the market shifts
- Translate sustainability performance into commercial terms mid-market leaders actually act on
- Work directly with founder/CEO to shape function positioning, and go-to-market as advisory and product grow together
- Get close to client problems — mid-market operators and enterprise buyers — and turn what you learn into sharper offers, faster
- Build and mentor the advisory bench as the team grows
What you bring
- 8+ years in sustainability consulting or in-house strategy — you've done the work, not just advised on it
- Commercially minded — you think in P&L, not just frameworks
- Experience navigating an Exec Board or senior approval processes — so you think like our target client and understand how they actually decide
- Demonstrated experience navigating AI and responsible practice in a fast-moving landscape and using AI workflows — you've had this conversation with clients or a board about what it means for sustainability and risk, not just followed it from the sidelines
- Well-networked in the sustainability and commercial space
- Deep, intimate understanding of mid-market and enterprise sustainability problems — not textbook, lived
- A born problem solver — innovation-first, comfortable with ambiguity, energised by building rather than maintaining
- Customer-first instinct — you'd rather solve the real problem than defend the framework
- Hungry. Fast-moving. Wants a seat at the table while the company is still being built, not after
Compensation & ways of working
- Competitive salary + meaningful equity — early enough that this matters
- Remote-first, flexible team
- Flexible hours — with the usual startup caveat: pace is real, hours flex around output, not away from it
- Travel: 1–2x a month max, client and team facing
- Autonomy over your remit — you're defining this function, not inheriting a fixed job spec
- L&D budget to back the "hungry to learn" bar we're setting for our team
- Direct line to the founder/CEO — no layers between your ideas and execution
